New Japanese Rugby
2015年10月10日
Japan has a long history of rugby but not much history of success. All this has changed in the current Rugby World Cup held in the UK. Japan’s first win at a World Cup for 24 years was a 34-32 upset over the powerhouse of South Africa with a last minute try. They played well in a loss to Scotland but proved their worth in the third game, with an emphatic 26-5 victory over Samoa. Japan most likely play their last game of the tournament but again a win over the US on Sunday night would mark a huge change. There is still a very, very small chance of reaching the quarter finals if Samoa win tonight but we are already looking forward to the next World Cup which will be held here in Japan in 2019, the year before the Tokyo Olympics.
