Covid-19 Vaccine Rollout in Japan
2021年1月21日
As the pandemic continues, and becomes worse in many places, production and distribution of a vaccine to combat the virus has begun. In some countries the rollout has already started, but here in Japan the plan is to begin at the end of February. First in line will be medical staff and people who work in and around the medical industry, such as the doctors and nurses who are treating Covid patients. Following the front-line workers will be elderly citizens and other vulnerable people who are especially at risk to the virus. It is thought that this section of the population will be able to receive the vaccine in March, and then there will be a general rollout to the remaining residents.
