Providing advice on how to promote yourself
UC English School is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2019. In these 30 years, we have been able to send our students to jobs in all types of airline company, be they large famous one or small new startups, year after year.
The secret to this success is our small student number policy and the emphasis we put into learning other languages, including of course English. If you have taken an interview for an airline company, you have most likely experienced the nervousness in the waiting room or the panic from an unexpected flow of the first interview.
In this case, if you have only practiced one pattern of response it is very difficult to adapt. This is where UC English School is ahead of the rest. We provide the tools for you to be able to adapt to any interview, no matter how it goes. Now is the time to start your preparation.
UC English School has the results – we have sent students as cabin attendants and ground staff members to a wide variety of airlines, be they Japanese or international, large and established or new startups.
Apart from English, you can take lessons in French, German, Chinese and Korean from native speaking instructors with strong teaching experience. French and German will be explained in English and Chinese and Korean will be explained in Japanese. Of course, we also put effort into improving our students’ English skills. It is good practice for being able to listen to and understand different types of English and expressions. Through the lessons, you can also learn about other cultures.
When it comes to French, German, Chinese and Korean, absolute beginners are welcome. By taking lessons repeatedly you can improve your pronunciation. As there are only a few students in each class, we can also provide special lessons for students who already have strong skills in any of these languages.
strengths and weaknesses to ensure not only an improvement in language skills but also the confidence to use those skills in the real world, beginning with interviews for airline companies.
We are not a big school, but thanks to our small size, instructors and students get to know each other well and this gives us the opportunity to assist our students to take advantage of their individual strengths and shine more brightly. You can even feel that with a trial lesson so please come visit for a free trial.
This year marks the 25th year since the founding of this school, we have provided guidance to a great number of different students and have found each and every one of them to possess the strengths, shining points and the something wonderful that makes them stand out.
At UC English School, based on our 24 years of experience and small class sizes, our instructors get to know the students well while conducting lessons. From this students are able to get an idea of what they can offer and surprisingly words that never seemed to come together before just roll off the tongue effortlessly. As a result the students are each able to use their own words to explain their strengths.
In this age and world, the experience, interests, character, qualifications, and ways of thinking that each person has makes us all unique. It is not a matter of what is good and what is not, rather it is important for students to make the most of what they have to offer. At the same time it is the job of our instructors to look at those students and help them discover their strengths.
Being able to operate in harmony and tune with society today is no doubt important, but if we are all the same then it would be boring. It is better to be able to combine an ability to work in society, Japanese or global, and at the same time to use our individuality to benefit that society.
At UC English School we provide you with the tools to get a job in the airline industry, be it at an international or a Japanese airline, an established airline or a new starter, as a cabin attendant or a ground staff member. Regardless of the type of company or position, we have a strong list of successful applicants and many repeat students.
We may be called UC English School and we value our English teaching here but that is not all. We teach other foreign languages – French, German, Mandarin Chinese and Korean – at the level that suits each student, from absolute beginner to expert and we also focus on airline vocabulary in particular. As with English, all classes are conducted by native speakers of each language.
To get a job these days it is important to not only speak proper, polite Japanese but to be able to use English just as freely. There is no need to worry about differences in language or culture as our instructors will carefully explain the background necessary to understand. We also place a strong emphasis on learning about the world around us.
Learning at UC English School is more than just learning English conversation, it is about giving you the tools to operate as a Japanese person in an international world and our lessons are focused on the final goal of gaining a position in the airline industry.
A strong command of English and a little knowledge of other languages can go a long way to giving you the confidence to determine a new future for yourself and UC English School is here to help you.
