More about winter in Japan
2014年12月27日
Japan in the winter is not only about skiing and snowboarding. When it is cold outside many people enjoy visiting onsen, or hot springs. There are many of these all over Japan, some are in cities and others are all the way out in the mountains. You can usually stay at the onsen resort and enjoy traditional Japanese food and the mountain scenery.
There are also foods that are popular in winter, like nabe. Nabe means ‘pot’, so you put lots of vegetables and meat or fish into a big pot with your favourite soup. It is very warm and hearty, perfect for a cold winter’s evening.
