Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr
2019年6月5日
Today is the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the Ramadan fasting period. This is a very important time in the Islamic world, as the end of the month-long time when Muslims fast during daylight hours comes to an end. While this is a very big event in many countries, in Japan it isn’t very well known at all. In the airline industry, we meet people from many places and cultures and knowing about these big holidays can be very useful! Especially if you are working for a Middle Eastern airline, or planning to apply for one. Ramadan can be a very testing time as fasting co-workers need your support, and fasting passengers need your consideration and understanding. Even if you don’t work in these places, there are many Muslims in the world and knowing more about their culture can be a big plus!
